The Royal Easter Show

The first week of the holidays on the Friday I went to the Easter Show in Auckland. We had to leave early in the morning to get there at the Easter Show at a reasonable time. When we got to the Easter Show I meet Ella there and I watched her show her calf in the Supreme Champion ring. Then we walked around and had a look at the animals that were around us. My favourite animal was the baby chickens and the donkeys. I saw big pigs, and chickens were wondering around the place.

Then when we went outside I saw all of these scary rides and all of these games. Ella and I did a few games and won a few plushies and then we went to buy some coupons for the rides. The first ride we went on was a ride that you sit in a little cart and you spin around and go up and down. There were big long arms that connected to the carts. Once the ride finished Ella and I got off the ride and we were so dizzy that I just about fell down the stairs. After that ride I did not fell very well and was dizzy for the rest of the day. Then we saw what looked like a ride that was indoors. We lined up in the line waiting for a little cart. The ride was called The Ghost Train. We gave the man our coupons and sat in a cart.

We went through these large iron doors and when they shut, there was a loud CLUNK. Ella jumped in fright! As soon as we went to go outside something squirted on us and it gave us a fright! When we got of the darkness it was so bright that it hurt my eyes. Then we decided to have some lunch because we were all hungry. Ella and I got fish ’n chips from LJS. For fish ‘n chips and a drink it cost $10.00. After lunch I felt really full and did not feel well still. I saw a big blow up entrance that said Cadbury's. We were wondering what it was so we headed that way. At the entrance I saw a stand with these little cards that cost $2.00. The lady told us what to do when we find what we need to find.

As soon as we got inside the maze it started to rain so I had to put my puffer jacket on. First we had to find the Easter Bunny stamp. We went around looking for it and we finally found it. I lined up and waited for my stamp. When I got it the next thing that a had to look for was the Easter Egg. I found a long line and everyone was coming back with the Easter Egg stamp. When Ella and I lined up a lady had her umbrella up because it was raining through the maze and when she was putting her umbrella down she poked me in the eye and did not say sorry. I finally got the second stamp and got out of the huge lined that went for a couple of meters. Ella and I found a different coloured mat on the ground so we followed it and of course there was a big line and as soon as I saw the  line and I knew that I had got the last stamp. I lined up in the line and when it was my turn the lady took my stamp card and replaced it for a Cadbury’s car, a chocolate egg with Smarties in it and a little box of mini chocolate eggs. Ella and I were surprised and we decided to save them for Easter time so that we had more chocolates to eat at Easter time.

When we got out of the maze Ella saw this Fun Factory place and we headed our way to that. It costed 4 coupons so we handed our coupons to the man and went inside. I had to go up these stairs that moved and through these string things. At the end we had to take our shoes off and put them down a shoe shoot and then we went down a slide that was quite long. Then there were these clown games that you had to put these plastic balls in the clowns mouth to get a number. My number was 24 so I got to pick a prize. I got a few pencil’s.

I still felt kind of sick and dizzy so I did not eat much but after a few minutes I felt alright. Then, we walked around to find what we were going to do next. There was a Westpac helicopter going to take off so we headed over to the helicopter. It was really windy because it was getting ready to take off so people had to hold their hats. One person's hat went flying over to the ASB stand and luckily they court it for him. After the helicopter took off we donated some money and my mum bought a mini Westpac helicopter.

Then, I saw a big tent and I wanted to go inside and have a look. We made or way to the tent and people were bursting out of it. I thought that we were not going to get inside but we did and it was really hard to move around. One lady was not being very patient and pushed me into a stand of jewelry. Luckily I did not break any or I would have had to pay for them! Then, I could smell something and we all followed the smell. It was an ice cream place. There were oreo ice cream, jaffa ice cream every flavour of ice cream that you could imagine! I got a oreo ice cream and it was so yum!

Then, we had only three tickets left so we went on our last ride of the day. It was a ride that spun around really fast and then spun around backwards really fast. As Ella and I were lining up we were sweating and nervous about what was going to happen. When we sat in our carts Ella gave her glasses to the man and he gave Ella’s glasses to my mum. Then, the ride started and it went quite slow. Five minutes into the ride it started to go faster. I got really dizzy and it was so blurry. Then, it stopped and went backwards really fast. Ella and I were screaming so loud that it made everyone else scream.

After that ride we had to drop off Ella back at the calf club section. I did not want Ella to go but she had to because she had more showing to do. We got home at about 8:00p.m and I was very tired and still dizzy. I decided to have a shower and go straight to bed.
