Turtle Washes Up On 90 Mile Beach
What happened?: A endangered turtle got washed up on a beach.                                                                                
Who was involved in this event? The people that were involved in this event was a turtle and Auckland Zoo.
When did it happen?: This event happened on May the 23rd 2017.
Where did it happen?: At Northland’s 90 Mile Beach.
Why did it happen?: It happened because the turtle was quite sick when it got washed up onto the beach.
How did it happen?: How it happened was the turtle was exhausted, dehydrated, not eating and missing a flipper.
What we think about this news: We think this news to quite bad because we don’t want turtles dieing when they get washed up onto the beach.
What it means to us: It means to us because these turtles are getting washed up on beaches which is quite sad to see these turtles washing up on beaches.
Question: How do turtles wash up on beaches?
Answer: They can get washed up on beaches when big waves come to the shore and the waves carry them onto the beach.

Answer: Exhausted means that you are very tired and you have ran out of breath.
2.dehydrated
Answer: Dehydrated means that your body has lost a big amount of water.
3.Amputated
Answer: Amputated means that some of your limbs get cut off and you can’t use that part of the body anymore because it had been amputated.

What happened?: A wombat named Derek has his own home in Tasmania (Flinders Island).
Who was involved in this event? Derek (the wombat) and tourists.
When did it happen?: April 13, 2017
Where did it happen?: Tasmania (Flinders Island)
Why did it happen?: It happened because Derek's mother got lost in Tasmania.
How did it happen?: How it happened was when Derek’s mother got lost he was by himself in Flinders Island.
What we think about this news: We think this news is pretty cool because Derek the wombat gets a huge Island to himself.
What it means to us: It means that we have an extra furry friend in the world!
Question:How soft are wombat’s fur?
Answer: Wombat has thick, coarse fur to cope with low temperatures and young has repeated soft fur.

What happened?: A cat named Omar was a normal sized kitten and grew to be 120cm and 14kg!
Who was involved in this event? Ms Hirst.
When did it happen?: May 22, 2017.
Where did it happen?: Melbourne, Australia.
Why did it happen?: Because the cat was to oversized!
How did it happen?: How it happened was because he grew to be an supersized cat.
What I think about this news: I think this news is really cool because you get to have a cat that is over the usual size.  
What it means to me: It means that there may be more of that breed around the world somewhere.

Answer: Normally about 6-7 years.

What happened?: Scientist have found a caterpillar in Cambridge that eats different types of plastic like plastic bags for example.
Who was involved in this event?: Scientists and researchers.
When did it happen?: May the 2nd 2017.
Where did it happen?: At Cambridge University.
Why did it happen?:  It happened because people have been chucking out plastics onto the streets which causes these caterpillars to get attracted to the plastics and starts to eat it.
How did it happen?: How it happened, was because scientist have found these strange plastic eating caterpillars that can eat plastic bags.
What we think about this news: We personally think that these plastic eating caterpillars are bad to our people because if they get to your plastic bags, you will end up with holes in your bags so you can’t use them.
What it means to us: It means a bit to us because when we go to get plastic bags for something they will all have holes in them.

The baby cheetah could slow down the population of the wild cheetahs in their natural habitat. The people that were involved in this event was scientist and the baby cheetah Boom. It happened on May the 5th 2017. It happened in the US sanctuary. It happened because the population of the cheetahs in the wild are decreasing down to human intrusion. It happened because there are only the birth of ten new cubs born every time a female cheetah is having cubs.
What we think about ite think it is very sad because these not many cheetahs left because the decreasing in numbers.
