If I met Richie Mccaw

If I met Richie Mccaw I would ask him “how long have you been playing rugby for?” I would thank him for representing New Zealand and winning the world cup. I would tell him about my school camp (2017) and tell him about the time I went to Rainbows End with Ella. I would also ask him if he can sign my t-shirt and if he could tell me about rugby and why he always came off the field with a blood nose!Image result for richie mccaw

TV Swimming Sports

TV Swimming Sports

Yesterday (Wednesday 15th March) I went to Thames for Thames Valley Swimming Sports. I made it in for 2 lengths breaststroke and 2 lengths freestyle. First was 2 lengths breaststroke and there was seven people in my race. When I dived in I was coming 3rd and half way through I bet the girl that was coming second. The girl that was coming first was going really fast. The pool was so hot that I wanted to get out as soon as possible. Then after my race I felt so cold that I had to put my towel around me. Soon enough it was time for freestyle. It looked like I was up against hard people. When I dived into the pool it was still very hot and stuffy in there. When I touched the wall know one was behind me. That's when I found out I came last. After freestyle I sat on the seats and watched the swimming. Then we went home and I got to have something to eat.

Morrinsville Show

Last Saturday I went to the Morrinsville Show with Ella and her calf (Winter). We had to wake up early so we decided to wake up at 4:30 am. We had to get dressed and get ready to go. By the time we got to the farm to pick up the calves it was dark and we could not see anything. We could not even see the calves so we had to use a torch. Once we'd got the calves we put them inside the trailer and shut the big door. On our way to Morrinsville we stopped and had breakfast because we didn't have breakfast when we woke up.

When we got there Ella and I unloaded the calves and got ready before the show started. First was the Calf Club section and Ella and I were waiting to go into the ring. Leading was first and while I was watching Ella my heart was racing because I was hoping her calf would not stop. The Judge called out the placings and Ella got 2nd.

Next was Rearing and all of the calves were lined up in the ring waiting for the Judge to see there calf. They lined up the people who got placings and Ella got 6th. Last was Dairy Type and all of the jerseys lined up in there ring. When Ella lined up inside the ring I counted the places and I found out that she got 6th again. I had a really fun day with Ella and her calves:)

My Seek Approval

My topic for my IE is about clouds and what they,re made out of. The learning powers that will help me with this inquiry are Resilience because this word means never give up and it's my favourite learning power word. I hope I understand about what clouds are and what they are made out of. I will need to understand the process of what the clouds go through and what makes cloud clouds. When I've finished my re-search I want to tell people about clouds and that they're not soft and you can not feel them.

HP Swimming Sports

HP Swimming Sports
On Monday I went to HP Swimming Sports to represent the school. There were about six different schools there to compete against. I got into HP for two lengths breaststroke, three lengths breaststroke and two lengths freestyle. First it was two lengths breaststroke. I was up against two people from a different school and the rest were from our school. For two lengths breaststroke I got 1st. Then it was two lengths freestyle and I was nervous because I was up against hard people like Holly and Olivia.

For two lengths freestyle I came 3rd because I was with good swimmers. After that I had a little bit of lunch and then it came to three lengths breaststroke. We had to vs seniors and the seniors that I had to vs were really good at swimming.  Luckily I only had to vs one senior so I got second and everyone was cheering for me. I hope I get into TV Swimming Sports.

Yellow Fever Wiping Out Monkeys

Yellow Fever Wiping Out Monkeys

In Espirito Santo there is a disease called Yellow Fever. The yellow fever is a viral disease that is found in the tropical regions of Africa and the Americas that mainly affects humans and monkeys and is transmitted by the same type of mosquito that spreads dengue and the Zika virus. The monkeys are vulnerable to yellow fever just like humans.

This year I am doing something really knew to what I would usually in whetu and it is could IE. For this we are doing something a little bit like impact but we are not in a group, instead you do it yourself. What I am doing for IE is, how was the ocean formed and things about the sea life. For this inquiry is that I would like to ask some people who have heap of knowledge about the history and sea life. The learning powers I will be using Resilience because when I am looking through books they might not have good information and it might take awhile to find good books. I am hoping to learn heaps about the sea and I am excited to do the creation.
