Term 2 Week 8
Term 2 Week 8
This week has been so fun! Every crew time we play a game called Bang. If someone calls your name you have to duck before they say bang. You have to try and shoot the person next to you. For tech me, Ella and Lavanya made Pork Spring Rolls. They were quite hard to make but they were YUMMY! I gave some to my friends and they loved them. We have had the Mangahigh Ninja Challenge for two weeks and today is the last day. I have spent so much time on Mangahigh and I got a gold medal. I Last year I got a bronze and I'm so happy that I got a gold. It's a step up from last year!

Can you guess the place?
Can you guess the place?
Speeding up the aisles with my half broken trolley. The cold tiles sweeping under me. Grabbing ingredients from all angles of the aisle. My trolley filling up fast. People pass me with children in the front smiling at me. Children with their parents trying to grab chips from the shelf. Walking up to the cashier ready to pay. Bright yellow bags fill my trolley to the brim.
Where am I?
Pulling out my passport ready to go. Thousands and thousands of people lined up with big bags. Shops everywhere. I hear deep noises as I look out the window. Excited people everywhere waiting to get aboard. I hear some goodbyes from all angles. My tummy rumbling. Excited and ready I jump aboard. First class here I come!
Where am I?
Arriving at the big park. Walking through the doors. Hundreds of people waiting to get there ticket. Seeing the Roller Coaster flying threw the air. Kids screaming. Ice cream parlors and hot dog stands everywhere. Yum! Music beaming. I see a big stage with a talented magician doing magic tricks. Doing ride after ride. I’m having the time of my life!

Term 2 Week 7
Term 2 Week 7
This week has been all right. I have not done much this week other than learning. For Chapter Chat, me and Lavanya did a Chapter Chat task together and we used our learning power Creativity. We did a vocabulary task on a poster and it's really cool! On Friday, I'm going to the Field Days with Ella and I'm so excited as we go every year. Hopefully it is a nice day so that we don't have to walk in the rain. I enjoyed tech this week because me, Alexa and Lavanya made a Cheesy Bacon Dip and it was so YUM! We had our Hockey game on Tuesday night. We lost again but we played very well as a team. I played in defence and I played really well on back post.

PLASTIC BAG FREE town!
PLASTIC BAG FREE town!
I think this is such a good idea because animals in the sea have been eating plastic bags and dieing because of it and we can't afford to have animals dieing because of plastics bags. If we have Boomerang bags then we will not have trouble with plastic bags getting in the ocean. It is really cool that you can pick up a plastic bag when you walk into the food shop and put it back when you are finished. If we stop the plastic bag issue then our country will be much nicer and we will not have to worry about the sea life dieing from plastic bags.

Term 2 Week 6
Term 2 Week 6
This week has been one of my favourite weeks because it was my birthday! I had a really good time on Monday with my friends. We played some party games and I opened my presents. Since it has been a short week this week I did not have much work to do. My first priority was to get my LITM workshops booked in. I really enjoyed the hockey game on Wednesday because it was our best game and we drew one all. It was also on my birthday!
I had soccer practise yesterday and that went really well. Tomorrow we have a soccer game against Thames Thunder and I am really looking forward to playing. And on Sunday I have more soccer training as I made it into the REPS team. What made me smile was when me Lavanya, and Emily worked together to cook a beautiful Feijoa Loaf at Tech on Tuesday. It worked out really well and tasted divine!

Adopted Kids
“UGHHHHH” said Dilyn as they just found out that they had to leave Washington. “But why?” said Dilyn. “Because the owners have sold the farm” said Mary.” ”It’s going to be OK”. Although Mary was a little bit nervous herself. There parents were at the dinner table talking about the farm. They looked a bit sad too. They didn’t want to sell the farm. The farm was everything to them. It’s all they had.
“Look”, said Mother. “Father and I can’t afford to look after you anymore”. “We will have to put you up for adoption”. They all looked at each other in shock. Even Molly (the dog) sat and looked in desmay. “We have already found a lovely couple that want you’s”. “But I don’t want to go, said Dilyn”. “Well you have to, said their Dad”. Molly walked to her food bowl and sniffed it.
Then she sat down next to it. She looked quite sad. “It’s ok, said Mary”. “We will get through this”. “I am happy that we are moving together and we are not getting separated, said Dilyn”. “The trains arriving next week at 10:00am on Tuesday morning, said Mother”. They were most shocked to hear this. “WHAT!”. “I would have thought that we were leaving sometime next month or something, said Mary”. “No, I arranged for the train to pick us up at the end of the driveway next Tuesday, said Mother”.
The days went by fast and the children were miserable. They did not want to go but they had no choice. “Will we ever get to see you again?, asked Dilyn”. “Of course, said Mother”. “We have their contact numbers if anything goes wrong, said Father”. They had spend most of their time packing and getting ready to move. They sold everything they had as they could not take it on the train with them.
It came to Monday and the children decided to spend more time than ever with their parents as it was their last day with them. As a family they decided to go out for dinner at their favourite restaurant, Cobb & Co. After dinner they went home and went to bed early so they could wake up in the morning and meet the train at the end of the driveway with their parents.
The next morning, they woke up fresh. They had their breakfast and headed out to the driveway. “Well, here it is, said Father”. “We will really miss you, said Mary”. Then, postman Pat arrived and delivered their mail. The train arrived at the same time and they all said their goodbyes. “We will miss you all, said Father and Mother”. They got on the train together and the train left. They all stood outside crying and waving to their parents. And that is the story of the family that had to sell everything.

Places That I Would Like To Visit
Places That I Would Like To Visit
- Egypt
- London
- Mexico
I would love to go to Egypt because I want to see the pyramids and I love how the Egyptians dress themselves. It is really hot over in Egypt. I would like to go to some museums and see some real mummies.
I have wanted to go to London for a long time. I like the Union Jack flag and I really want to visit the London Bridge. I want to go in the big buses and go for a shopping trip with my friends.
One reason why I want to go to Mexico is because I love the food over there especially TACOS! I also really like there accents. It would be cool to go to some of their famous restaurants. If I won Lotto, this would be the first place I would visit. I would take my family to Mexico and have a long three week holiday!
