My Art Project

Milk Bottle Project

For the past two weeks our homework was to do something with a milk bottle. My idea is to do a elephant and stick pieces of paper around it. I’m going to do an even smaller elephant so there is a baby and a mother. I am nearly done but it is quite hard to stick the paper on because my elephant is curved and some of the paper is sticking up!

One of the hardest challenges was to cut out the elephant because it was an uneven shape and I didn’t know where to start. It was hard to pick an idea on what to do but I got some ideas off of Pinterest. I can’t wait to show it off to people at school!

Calf Club

Calf Club

Last Wednesday Ngatea Primary School had Calf Club. I took my calf Porsha. She’s a big fat Friesian calf. There were over 50 calves there it was hard competition. The day went good and it was nice and sunny but a little too hot at parts. My favourite part of Calf Club was when I was showing Porsha for Rearing & Handling and Dairy Type. I was not expecting to get 1st place for Rearing & Handling because there were good calves in my ring and it was hard for the judge to pick for the placings.

To look after my calf before Calf Club I had to lead her up and down the driveway and on the leading and obstacle course. Then I had to brush her heaps and wash her legs, tummy, bum, face and body. When she was being good and leading well I would give her a marshmallow. I even sometimes tease her with it to make her walk! The challenges that I had to face was trying to beat Hayley in the champion ring because she had a nice calf and it was really hard to beat her. I tried to overcome my challenge but in the end I didn’t beat her. The ribbons that I got were 2nd for Obstacle, 4th for Leading, 1st for Rearing & Handling, 2nd for Dairy Type and Reserve Champion for Rearing & Handling.

Learning In The Making Conference Day

Learning in the Making Reflection

Last Friday the Learning in the Making Conference was on again. I wore my bright yellow T-shirt for the Conference day on Friday. The workshops that I got into were Drink Bottle Craft, Reusable Shopping Bags, Team Building and The Mad Scientist Returns. My favourite workshop was Drink Bottle Craft because I liked how you got to pick your design on your drink bottle.

One skill that I learned on Friday was to work as a team in whatever you do and do not give up! I taught Ella that it’s OK to make mistakes. You can always try again next time. My less favourite workshop was Team Building because when we were playing games people were shouting and screaming at other people for doing a mistake.

How I Open My Presents

How I Open My Presents First I pick the bigger presents because to me the smaller ones are the best. Then if it is something that I...
