Last Wednesday was swimming sports day for my school. We went down to the pools that morning and started our races. First I did free style then backstroke and then breaststroke. I started free style but when I got up to my second length I was really tired. But I still got 2nd place after Holly. Then we moved on to backstroke. I nearly hit the lane rope but I quickly moved before I could hit it. I got a tie with Mischa but I don't know what placing it was. We then moved on to breaststroke my favourite stroke! I got 1st and I was up against very hard people. At the end of the day I was very happy with what I got and hoping to get into Hauraki plains.
The day after swimming sports I got a notice saying that I'd got into Hauraki plains. I was really happy that I'd got in. I got in for 2 lengths breaststroke and 2 lengths free style. HP was yesterday and there were a lot of schools there. We started doing breaststroke. For breaststroke I had to be up against two boys that were really hard to VS. I had to VS Miles and this other boy from another school. I came 3rd but since I was the only girl in that race I got 1st. Then I had to wait for a while for my next race. Then my race finally came and I lined up ready to dive. I was up against Holly again and I got 2nd again. I hope I get into Thames Valley witch is next Monday.
